In 2002 Hobart incorporated Traulsen refrigeration as its division. This consolidation brought together the two preferred brands in the foodservice industry—Hobart’s warewashing, food machines and cooking, and Traulsen’s refrigeration.
Such a combination allowed for broadening the product offering and supporting Hobart-Traulsen's common effort of leading the high-quality food equipment market.
Hobart and Traulsen refrigeration are part of Illinois Tool Works (ITW), a Fortune 200 company that owns numerous and diverse manufacturing units and brands. Hobart and Traulsen Corporation belongs to ITW Food Equipment Group North America, which also includes other well-known brands such as Baxter, Foster, Gaylord, Hanson, Kairak, Somat, Stero, Vulcan, Wittco and Wolf.
