Print Friendly

Hobart’s new PS40 price computing scale offers a cost-effective solution for restaurants, grocery stores and outdoor markets alike. The battery-operated PS40, which also works on AC power, can quickly and accurately weigh and price products, allowing for rapid transactions for locations such as butcher shops and outdoor markets. It also weighs exact ingredient amounts for a multitude of recipes or portion sizes for customers such as grocery stores and restaurants.

The scale’s convenient audio feedback features make it easy for operators to verify each key stroke entered. It also features two highly visible backlit displays—one in the back of the scale for the operator and one in the front for the customer—for monitoring individual transactions. The PS40’s large membrane keypad and stainless steel weighing platter ensure the scale is simple to clean and is durable.

The scale has the ability to operate between 14 degrees Fahrenheit and 104 degrees Fahrenheit, allowing both indoor and outdoor usage. It is easy to program, with a memory bank of 50 PLUs for storing pricing information as well as 12 speed keys for quick item lookup. The PS40 is also certified Legal for Trade and is an NSF Certified scale.
