Hobart’s sleek, economical Edge slicer cuts costs to the bone, but doesn’t skimp on features.
The carriage-interlock system, durable Borazon sharpening stones and permanently mounted ring guard—features you only found until now on premium priced models—make the Edge a highly efficient and easy-to-clean slicer. Designed for intermediate slicing, the Edge precisely and easily cuts meat, cheese and vegetables.
The 1/3-H.P. knife drive motor and poly V-belt drive system combine to provide an enduring system that will deliver optimum results. The motor drives the knife at 370 rpm for clean, precise slices. The poly V-belt drive system is designed for quiet operation and is more economical to service and repair with reduced parts and service time.
The Edge slicer is made for easy cleaning. The one-piece anodized aluminum base leaves few cracks, crevices or bolt holes where product can lodge and bacteria can grow. It can be quickly wiped down for easy cleaning. The removable carriage system can be put into a three-compartment sink for more thorough cleaning. The Borazon sharpening stone is removable and submersible. The whole slicer can be propped up for cleaning underneath the machine. The rear deflector is also removable for cleaning.
The positive-angle carriage design enables operators to slice without manual feed. The knife itself is protected by a permanently mounted ring guard. A carriage interlock prevents the carriage from moving if the gauge plate is not closed. Features you once found only on the premium slicers you can now get with the Edge.
