Up until now, high-temp, door-type warewashers required a vent for the steam or water vapor emitted when the door is opened. Now Hobart’s new patent-pending AM Select Ventless model takes away the need for a vent hood, saving you money. Lots of money—as much as $5,068 the first year alone, and $1,568 every year after that.

Tabulating the savings: $5,068 the first year; $1,568 every year after that.

Hobart's AM Select Ventless warewasher is the first ventless door-type warewasher featuring energy recovery. The recovery cycle captures water vapor and condenses it to heat the incoming cold-water inlet for the final rinse cycle. It can save you up to $1,568 a year in energy costs. Eliminating approximately $3,500 of installation costs and the ventilation system brings your first-year saving to a grand total of $5,068.

The only thing left out of this AM Select is the vent.
Ventless Enviornment ImageIn every way, the AM Select Ventless is a true AM Select. Like every other AM Select, it’s ENERGY STAR rated, making it an ideal choice for a sustainable foodservice operation. It offers all the water and energy saving that all AM Select models provide—and then some. It features The AM Select’s famed ease of use and is as easy to clean. It’s all AM Select. It’s all Hobart, built for years and years of tough foodservice kitchen use—and even abuse.

non ventless with caption30 seconds: Vapor condensed and inlet water reheated.

The secret to the AM Select Ventless is its unique energy recovery condensing cycle. A fan circulates the air from the chamber—filled with water vapor—across the fins of heat exchanger coils filled with cold water at 50ºF to 80ºF. The difference in temperatures causes the water vapor to condense and preheats the inlet water used for final rinsing. The pre-heated water temperature reaches up to 140ºF, reducing the amount of energy needed to meet the required 180ºF rinse-water temperature. The energy recovery system allows the use of a cold-water supply, using the hot-water line only once for the initial fill. After the 30-second condensing cycle is complete, an indicator light signals the machine is ready for unloading, and then the process repeats.

Ventless with CaptionCleans pots, pans and dishware all day.
Like all AM Select models, the ventless warewasher is really like having two machines in one. One for pots and pans, and one for all your dishware. Whether it’s a delicate wine glass or a grimy pot, the new AM Select is NSF Certified to clean them all. Its four washing cycles—1, 2, 4 and 6 minutes, plus condensing time—let you select the one that best fits your rack load. Depending on incoming water temperatures, the AM Select Ventless is capable of washing 40 racks per hour when using the 1-minute cycle.

Three models make the AM Select Ventless extremely accommodating.
The flexible AM Select Ventless adds to its accommodating nature by offering you a choice of three models—Standard, Front-Loading and Tall—enabling you to fit them into virtually any kitchen configuration.
