The SL100 scale is designed for small independent grocers and convenience stores. It offers a compact design, yet is complete enough to address any department service-counter application. The SL stores and recalls details for up to 1,000 products and prices. The LX20 Windows-based software is included so you can be set up and operational in a matter of minutes. And up to nine SL scales can be networked, making scale configuration and pricing accurate and simple.

The SD100 scale is as reliable as it is simple to use and offers a total store solution. Standard Ethernet communications allow you to link scales together on a counter or communicate over a larger store-wide or company-wide network. Ethernet communications also make it possible to set up automated reporting of totals back to a store PC or server and provide automated PLU updates.

Save time and money. Both the SL and SD offer simple setup and configuration, giving you an advantage right out of the box. Once your selected scale is hooked up, employees will benefit from an easy-to-read, backlit LCD display that shows product descriptions and enables easy programming.

The SL offers a 57-key wipe-clean membrane keyboard and 34 speed-key PLUs, while the SD includes 42 programmable keys, a wide-viewing angle and intuitive display. These features make training and continued use a breeze, helping reduce employee errors.

Merchandise to customers. Both scales offer flexible label printing. Select from four default label types with the SL and nine with the SD scale, or create custom labels for the SD with the optional DX50 software. Add a logo or sales message to the label for visual appeal or cross-selling merchandise. The easy-access, thermal label printer has a take-up spool for backing paper, while the paper-saving, print-rewind feature can reduce label costs by more than 15% when using continuous-label stock.

When not in use, the SD scale is still busy merchandising with an eye-catching customer display that allows you to present up to 400 characters of vertical text. Keep the message the same across all your scales or create messages on a scale-by-scale basis.

Scale management and reporting made easy. The easy-to-use LX20 PC-to-scale software is included free with your SL scale. This software provides the fundamental features you’ll need to set up and maintain product and labeling information. The software lets you create and edit product files and print to a remote PC printer. Use the software to design your own label with drag-and-drop formatting and on-screen previews. And once you create your information, files can be saved to a PC, ensuring backup.

Thanks to the optional DX50 software, you can quickly export reports to Microsoft® Office Excel spreadsheets, reformatting as required for easy, made-to-order scale reports. Hobart’s DX50 software gives you the ability to view all scales in the network and change scale configuration on the fly.
