Case Study Application.

The submission, which should be no more than 10 pages in length and include project photography, must address one or more of these foodservice sustainability objectives:

  • How the operation reduced energy/water use.
  • How the operation reduced creation of wastewater or solid waste.
  • How the operation implemented Farm-to-Fork programs or other combined programs.

Each submission must include a financial analysis of the sustainability program, including cost of implementation, continuing cost and the formula for realizing return on investment. Descriptions of specific foodservice equipment used to achieve sustainability goals - including ENERGY STAR® qualified equipment - is encouraged.

The submission may be printed in three copies and mailed to the HCFS, or e-mailed to hobart@hsr.com as a .pdf file. All submissions must be received by August 29, 2008. The submissions will be judged and the grant awarded by consent of the HCFS Fellows and announced during the 2008 Greenbuild Expo held November 19-21, 2008 in Boston, MA.
