Case Study Application.
The official application form for submissions for the HCFS grant can be found here. (DOC)
The submission, which should be no more than 10 pages in length and include project
photography, must address one or more of these foodservice sustainability objectives:
- How the operation reduced energy/water use.
- How the operation reduced creation of wastewater or solid waste.
- How the operation implemented Farm-to-Fork programs or other combined programs.
Each submission must include a financial analysis of the sustainability program including detailing the cost of implementation, continuing cost and financial analysis of the retrun on investment with a detailed summary of cumulative savings. Descriptions of specific foodservice equipment used to achieve sustainability goals - including ENERGY STAR® qualified equipment - is encouraged.
The submission may be printed and mailed to the HCFS, or e-mailed
to hobart@gyrohsr.com as a .pdf file. All submissions
must be received by August 31, 2010. The submissions will be judged and the grant
awarded by consent of the HCFS Fellows and announced during the 2010 Greenbuild
Expo held November 16-19, 2010 in Chicago, IL.
