Hobart’s Video Contest Encourages Foodservice and Food Retail Professionals to
Express Their Creative Side to Win a Free CLe Warewasher

CHICAGO – May 17, 2008 – Calling all Spielbergs and Scorseses. Hobart’s “Win a Free CLe” video commercial contest gives foodservice and food retail professionals an opportunity to flaunt their creativity and video production talents to create a CLe Warewasher commercial and win a new Hobart CL44e Warewasher in the process. Commercial entries must be anywhere from 30 seconds to two minutes in length and include at least one of the following CLe Warewasher benefits: energy and water efficiency/savings, ease of use or productivity.

All entries will be judged based on creativity (weighted 40 percent), best illustration or demonstration of product information and benefits (40 percent), and promotional benefit (20 percent). A panel of independent judges will choose the commercial they feel best meets these criteria, and the winner will receive a free CL44e Warewasher delivered and installed by Hobart—a $22,000 value. Second and third place winners will receive a five-year extended service warranty on Hobart equipment and a 42-inch flat-screen television, respectively.

The contest is open to all foodservice and food retail business entities, including but not limited to K-12 schools, colleges and universities, healthcare facilities, correctional institutions, restaurants and grocers. All entries must be received by 11:59 PM (Eastern Standard Time) December 31, 2008. Entrants can submit as many videos as they wish.

How to Enter
Once individuals have made their CLe commercial, they should submit it in the following manner:

  • Set up a YouTube (www.youtube.com) account.
  • Upload the video to their YouTube profile page.
  • Add their video to the Hobart “Win a Free CLe” Video Contest Page in the YouTube Group section in Community. (Entrants can access this page directly at www.youtube.com/group/hobartwinfreecle.)
  • Once their video is submitted, individuals must complete the official entry form available at www.hobartcorp.com/winafreecle.
