Standards for Sustainability
ENERGY STAR:
The symbol of exceptional energy efficiency.
In 1992, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy initiated the ENERGY STAR program, identifying appliances and equipment that meet stringent energy-efficiency guidelines. If you’ve looked for a new home or shopped for a new appliance, you’ve probably come across the ENERGY STAR label.
Shortly after the launch of the ENERGY STAR program, Traulsen earned the ENERGY STAR label for its refrigerators, freezers and hot-food holding cabinets. In 2007, Hobart warewashers also earned the distinction of the ENERGY STAR label. Now Hobart fryers are also ENERGY STAR qualified.
The ENERGY STAR is a symbol of Hobart’s industry leadership in developing cost-saving, energy-saving equipment. And is a symbol of our proud support of you.
Our leadership in the development of energy-saving equipment and the sharing of sustainable ideas throughout the foodservice industry has been recently affirmed by the selection of our parent organization, ITW Food Equipment Group, as ENERGY STAR 2008 Partner of the Year.
