Hobart Announces 2025 Equipment Grant Winner

TROY, Ohio (July 1, 2025) –  Hobart, the premium commercial food equipment manufacturer known for designing and building some of the most reliable, must-have equipment, is pleased to announce Rio Vista Independent School District (ISD) as the 2025 winner of the Hobart Food Equipment Grant. Hobart awards the grant annually through a larger equipment grant program with the School Nutrition Foundation (SNF).

Rio Vista ISD, located in Rio Vista, Texas, received the grant based on the school’s need for updated equipment, along with its plans to replace pre-packaged menu items with more whole foods and incorporate more local farm-to-school meal plan initiatives.

The school’s nutrition program has the mission “to provide appealing, nutritionally sound, and safe meals in an environment that is respectful of students’ needs and differences.” The addition of six new pieces of Hobart equipment will help support those efforts. The school selected both a Legacy+ ® HL200 20-quart mixer and a Centerline™ by Hobart HC334 combination food processor for each of its kitchens in the elementary, middle and high schools.
