Hobart Honors Up-and-Coming Culinary Talent with StarChefs.com Rising Star Artisan Award
Hobart, in partnership with StarChefs.com, recently recognized Chef Bart Bell of Crescent Pie & Sausage Company in New Orleans with a Rising Stars Artisan Award. The 2012 Rising Stars award program, which includes multiple categories, recognizes culinary artists and innovators from across the country.
The Rising Stars Artisan Award celebrates the craftsman spirit of up-and-coming culinary talent. The award highlights the creative outlook, philosophy and ambition of chefs committed to traditional culinary techniques. As a supporter of the artisan spirit, Hobart is the exclusive sponsor of the 2012 StarChefs.com Rising Stars Artisan Award.
Bell, co-owner and chef at Crescent Pie & Sausage Company, was honored for his commitment to charcuterie, the discipline within the culinary arts that includes curing and preparing meats like bacon, pâtés and, in his specialty, sausage.
